LOWER FOX WATERSHED DISCOVERY

The University of Illinois Extension, in partnership with the Illinois State Water Survey, invites you to attend a DISCOVERY Meeting regarding the Lower Fox Watershed. This meeting is the first step in the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) new “Risk MAP” initiative for the Lower Fox watershed.

The Lower Fox Watershed encompasses large sections of DeKalb, Kane, Kendall, and LaSalle Counties in Illinois. It also reaches within small portions of Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Lee and Will Counties. Participation in the DISCOVERY meeting is being sought from elected officials, economic development professionals, emergency responders, and agriculture/natural resource stakeholders. Input and information on the issues, problems, and data needs will be solicited from each of these community participants. Your input about how to improve the process will be sought.
