Preparing a plan requires the engagement of local governments, stakeholders, and residents in the planning process.
The Illinois State Water Survey (ISWS) is collaborating with Jersey County to update the Jersey County Hazard Mitigation Plan. This page will be used as a one stop shop for information about the process. Please continue to visit this page for updates throughout the planning process.

Jersey County Hazard Mitigation Committee Meeting #4 - Draft Plan Review
Jersey County will be having their final public meetings during the months of October, November, and December. The purpose of these meetings is to review the draft of the hazard mitigation plans for each county and provide opportunities for public input. Each meeting will present the same information, and any comments received will be incorporated into the plans. Open comment period will run through the end of 2024. Please join us at any of the virtual meetings listed below to provide input on the draft plan. The Zoom link will work for all of the virtual meetings.

Jersey County and participating communities will hold their third HMP meeting February 2, 2222 from 1:00-3:00pm CT at the Jersey County Bob Boyles Hall located at 102 Frontier Drive, Fairfield IL. This will be an in person meeting, an additional virtual option will be held June 18, 2024 from 5:30PM - 6:30PM (see Zoom Meeting Link below). If you are unable to attend this meeting and want to make a comment, please email the Illinois State Water Survey at mitigation@isws.illinois.edu.
